I made this rather demonic portrait of everybody’s favorite 80′s icon, Mr. T. It was an experiment to help me with an upcoming poster design that I’ve been asked to do. The project that I will be doing  is suppose to be reminiscent of the Russian revolutionary propaganda posters from the 1930′s. I drew Mr. T to help me adapt my drawing style for that job. I used the bold stylistic coloring and the angular geometric forms that were often employed by Russian poster artists of that time. I like the end result and if I get time I think I will try to develop this style of illustration a bit more.
